Job Description:
Position Summary: The Operating Tax Compliance Clerk must enjoy
working in a team-based environment. They will be representing
Penske as the leader in the truck industry and must maintain
professional and favorable relationships with all internal and
external customers. Major Responsibilities: --- Responsible for the
procurement, processing and controllership of personal property
tax, fuel and distance tax, and sales tax documents including the
accurate and timely entry of required processing documents for all
operating tax compliance functions. --- Interact with state/local
agencies, vendors, field associates and internal departments. ---
Ensure that all documents received from the taxing jurisdictions
have been processed and filed appropriately with the required level
of detail. --- Provide support for the operating tax compliance
team for daily processing including but not limited to tax filings,
mail distribution and final mailings to the required jurisdictions.
--- Other projects and tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications: --- High School Diploma or equivalent required ---
Strong organizational skills required --- Strong written and oral
communication skills required --- Proficiency in the use of
Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel required --- Analytical/Problem
Solving/Customer Service required --- AS/400 knowledge and
experience preferred --- Regular, predictable, full attendance is
an essential function of the job. --- Willingness to travel as
necessary, work the required schedule, work at the specific
location required, complete Penske employment application, submit
to a background investigation (to include past employment,
education, and criminal history) and drug screening are required.
